Tartan 27 New York Tartan 27 Yacht, What Is It Capable Of?

Tartan 27 yacht, what is it capable of? - tartan 27 new york

Looking to buy a 70's Tartan 27, I found one which made a survey and is in excellent condition in my price range, comes with tons and tons and tons of material things, two games in sailing, has been lousy, life jackets used by up to to exceed last year.

The owner said he had to learn ag reat boot, can easily along the coast from Virginia to Florida and New Jersey, New York and navigate to the Bahamas, is that true? or is it just tryign to load it I will finally sail from Norfolk, Virginia, on the coast of New Jersey and New York to Florida and the Bahamas. I am also a beginner. . . be alone, after most of the time, I feel good and I would be able to spend 2 weeks on board the cruiseCoast to visit family, etc.

The Tartan 27 is a very solid boat, in the day that the ships were being built to last. A problem that a boat that age and size and use of the coast of the Bahamas who may give the insurance business, so call if you are the first world.

I had a big boat of 26 meters of the trip and has several trips to the Florida Keys and Bahamas trips after 5 to 2.5 months of life aboard. Probably read many opinions about how people would never think to cross the Gulfstream or a cruise on a boat under 30 feet. My experience is not supported at all. There are many boats of less than 30 meters, including the tartan. What I liked was that I could click with someone, but they can on their own without any fancy equipment to navigate. In fact, on my first trip,My board died, and spent 2 weeks back at sea, without even a speedboat. On a boat this size it is easy to incorporate and go to sea. I wish my boat was under the rule of 30 feet Bahamas need a sticker.

If you are not comfortable to feel a boat to assess its own information, a marine survey is probably money well spent and may be required anyway by insurance.

A group of owners of large tartan has all the information that might be useful:

If the boat is a recent survey) (less than 6 months, I am more than comfortable sending a tartan marine products. Most of the lines of the tartan was written by none other than Sparkman & Stevens. They have very capable ships, and to develop rapid point. The question could you're ready for this trip. I sailed the Tartan 30 Destin, FL Key West) FL (about 492 nautical miles, and never more than the tartan shook his head. The best way to buy the ship and meet him in the course of one year or 18 months, then go for a longer journey. The boat can handle it without problems, but nothing like it in this life, you practice before going to something good. I have just the delivery of other Tartan 30Panama City, FL Pensacola, FL (about 100 nautical miles) last summer and the crew was all green. They have well and enjoy the ride. In summary, the Tartan is a jewel when it was served. I know they are airworthy. Get a copy of dealing with small boats Chapman and seamanship and safety has a price USCGA's. A copy of all books Lin and Larry Pardey (Talesin cruise trip and the Saracens come to mind) would also be a good place to start. Then all you have to do is on their feet wet and go cruising. I know that answers your questions.

A boat freakin awesome!

Rookie oldie or reduction. This is the boat that began the long history of tartan. They say that it was his first boat with bigger engines and auxiliary materials. They built many smaller ships from the 27s in 1961. The ship was designed by famous Sparkman & Stevens, ... ... However, Bill Shaw, in particular, the designer at home, S & S, who was responsible for 27th It's a double hit on the design tree ... Fashion solid, but still S & S did not let a bad design to rely on your desk.

The boat is hardly need a poll ... the glass is thicker than anything built today.
In the right hands, a boat can cross the oceans and the world. If you do not have an account, get an autopilot with homework helpAs you make sail changes or tuck in a reef or a beer and a sandwich.

This boat and makes you more so do not worry. He says it is a good beginner boat, because it is relatively heavy for its size and the proper ballast. I mean ... He does not take sides in a different direction when you release the rudder ... If you balance your sail ... and not tip over and taken advice on the water separator, if you have a fall or a blow blow.

I drove for 38 years ... Boats for vessels over 50 feet is 30 meters and a preference for the competition. My point is this ... But if I wanted to relax and not slippery to pay for 30 yards or more ... The Tartan 27 is always on my short list. I saw over the last year before eBayI bought my current boat.

They have a good relationship, and virtually indestructible ... hessitate not my friend.

Here is an excellent article by Dan Spurr, to be saved.
